The Legend of the White Snake is a thousand-year-old Chinese classical love story that tells the tale of the white snake spirit, Bai Suzhen, and her love for the mortal, Xu Xian. Bai Suzhen, a snake fairy who had practiced for a thousand years, yearned for human love and transformed into a beautiful woman to seek true love in the human world. By the West Lake, she met Xu Xian, and they fell in love at first sight, eventually marrying.

However, their love journey was not smooth. The monk Fa Hai, who could see through Bai Suzhen's true identity, was determined to eliminate the demon. He devised a plan to force Bai Suzhen to reveal her true form, causing Xu Xian to die of shock. To save her husband, Bai Suzhen risked her life to steal the magical herb, ultimately reviving Xu Xian. But Fa Hai did not give up and imprisoned Xu Xian in the Jinshan Temple.

To rescue her husband, Bai Suzhen mobilized the water creatures to flood the Jinshan Temple. In the end, under Fa Hai's powerful magic, Bai Suzhen was defeated and imprisoned under the Leifeng Pagoda. Upon learning the truth, Xu Xian was heartbroken and became a monk, guarding the Leifeng Pagoda and waiting for the day Bai Suzhen would be freed.
